Animal Rap
What is it
with these humans, always loud and coarse
Far better off with a cat or a horse
These humans all they do is lie and cheat
Can't stand the cold and can't stand the heat
All they have are egos, always brash and big
Better of by far with a bird or a pig!
What is it
with these humans, all this want, more, more
It's more genteel to be a large wild boar!
Think they're in control with their large swelling brain
Yet have to dash for cover at the slightest rain!
Humans think their oh so cool, humans think they're clever
Yet can't invent anything as magic as a feather
Animals may fight a bit, try to win our mate
But we don't even think 'it's our destiny, our fate'
Everything is reasoned out, everything thought through
Us animals ARE who we are: we just DO!
Maybe mankind's
evolving, living more from soul
Maybe we can live in peace with each other, vole and mole
But change takes time to happen, rejected by so many
Most still think and sink in the world of pound and penny
Angry men
belt out there rap, grannies they can't hack it
Protesters try to ban the bomb whilst businessmen they back it!
Global trade, the world wide web, the earth's becoming one
Sticks and stones to ICBM, sling shot becoming gun
'Progress' humans call it, mankind developing
But is it now him or lion who we consider king?
Or is it this or that God, some man up in heaven?
Only if you pray on Sats and calmly eat your leaven!
Do monkeys
have a saviour, a guru or a priest?
Do any of our creatures on earth consider themselves a beast?
Perhaps we came from outer space, our fathers came from Mars
Descended from a UFO to hang around in bars
Words don't make us clever, beliefs don't make us good
There Are No Rules or all times guides, forget the ought and should
Leylandias
block out the sun, because they don't belong
Many birds have disappeared . . . so we can't hear their song
Termites attack our wood shed, ants eat of our fruit
Nothing's as we'd like it, nothing's really cute
There's black and white in each of us, pride comes before a fall
Nothing's truly right nor wrong, we each are nothing, yet all!
